This is why I'm the best and you should hire me.
When I was younger I received a small polaroid-esque camera that I would use to take pictures of everything. When my best friend at the time came down to visit, the time I visited a horse stable, just driving around in a car – I brought this camera everywhere! I grew up with not a lot of money so once my film ran out, that was it, I couldn’t use it anymore. It wasn’t until freshman year of college and I was home for Christmas break that I received my very first DSLR. Love at first sight! I went back to college that year and made my friends pose for me and took my camera to every event the school had. After college I decided I wanted to pursue photography. It started off as a part-time job, doing gigs here and there, but now it’s developed into my full-time career!
I now am a stay-at-home mom to my daughter, Felicity, and wife to my Andrew. I’m a pretty darn good wife and mom if I do say so myself. If I’m going to be so blunt to admit that, I’m going to admit that I’m a darn good photographer as well. I can do the work and deliver exceptional results. As a photographer, I get to meet with a variety of people with a variety of backgrounds. I believe this provides an enriching learning experience as to what clients are expecting from me as a photographer and what I can do to better service their needs.
Photography means different things to different people. For some, it is a way to express your individuality or to make a statement. For others, it’s simply a form of battle where there is a need to be the best. For me, I use photography as a form of conversation. I believe with every photograph I take it is a dance. The beauty of dance is that it can have one interpretation to one person and speak a different language to another. If I do my job right, hopefully you can revel in that conversation with me. It is a beautiful way of communicating.
